Eight Verses in Praise of the Shiva Linga
Lingashtakam is a devotional hymn composed of eight verses dedicated to the Shiva Linga, the sacred symbol representing Lord Shiva. Each verse describes different forms and manifestations of the divine linga, celebrating its supreme power and spiritual significance.
The word "Linga" means symbol or mark, and it represents the formless, eternal nature of Lord Shiva. Reciting Lingashtakam with devotion is believed to grant liberation (moksha) and fulfill all desires.
